Amal Clooney
Amal Clooney (born Amal Ramzi alamuddin) is a Lebanese/British lawyer, human rights activist, and charitable philanthropist. She graduated from Oxford University School of Law as well as New York University School of Law. Her long professional career has received international praise for her accomplishments in international law and in the field that deals with human rights. Her most notable clients include national states such as Armenia, which was fighting for the recognition of Armenian Genocide in Turkey. Amal Clooney engaged American actor George Clooney to marry him in 2014, and instantly became an iconic name in pop culture. Before that, she was already famous and respected in legal circles as a lawyer who consistently represents her clients with skill and great success. Her job is to represent multinational corporations in negotiations and court cases about government regulation, and also human rights and social justice. Since 2015, she's a barrister one type of legal representative in British courts at London-based Doughty Street Chambers.
